Words from the CEO: What is Applied Solar? Solving for X

As an applied solar company, we focus on localized, real world solutions which improve the quality of life for Earth’s citizens. We simply believe the time has come for solar energy to deliver on its promise. With that, we are looking to leverage the best that the solar industry has to offer to help solve real and immediate societal challenges across the globe.

“Applied solar” is a means to differentiate ourselves from others by focusing on practical enablers, specific outcomes, and benefits. That is not to say that those companies that focus on roof-top or field / ground installed solar solutions aren’t enabling opportunity. Those solutions are not at the core of who we are. We are not an integrator or a solar installer. We are a solutions provider with a specific and unique platform built on various patents pending.

I suppose we think about the “X” in our name as a variable in an equation and we associate that variable with opportunities / challenges.
