xCOLD is an all-encompassing, modular and mobile cooling system that runs directly on the power of sunlight. Other portable cooling solutions may require a grid connection, power from a generator, and/or even water. The xCOLD requires none of these. By utilizing power from a solar PV array, our patented system can begin blowing cold air in minutes with the power from the sun. Now that’s cool!
Designed to be portable
The xCOLD is designed with mobility in mind. It is capable of running on 100% solar power to produce a cool environment anywhere the sun shines. In under 30 minutes, you can have the system running full blast on 6 PV solar panels. If the sun isn’t shining, the xCOLD is capable of using backup power sources such as a battery or other conventional power sources.
Space agnostic
As we researched the potential market for off-grid cooling, we came to realize that everyone had different types of spaces that they wanted to keep cool—ranging from shipping containers to tents to root cellars. That is why we designed xCOLD to be space agnostic. We don’t preference one space over another. What we care about is providing a product that can meet your cooling needs for whatever space you have.

Multiple form factors
The xCOLD design allows for it to be transported and used as a single, connected device where cold air comes out one side and hot air exhausted out the other. Or, it can be detached (connected via a tether) so that the evaporator portion can be placed inside more difficult to reach places while the condenser unit remains outside.
